"Idhayangal" had
its first fund raising event in the form of Charity Cricket
event, held at Swinton Moorside Cricket Club near
Manchester on 2nd of July 2006. The trustees are extremely thankful for Dr.G.Arunkumar & Dr.Ganesh for their immense efforts in
making this event a great success. We had two teams playing
10 overs a side throughout the day and the final victory was
to the Idhayangal group as a whole for raising money and
getting valuable new contributors and contacts. We are
grateful for all participants in the event, who had taken
time off to come to Manchester from different parts of UK.
We propose to make this an annual event with even more
innovative ideas in the future.

Dr.Nambi,
one of the trustees of Idhayangal, took part in a
charity sky-diving event to raise money for Idhayangal .
We are pleased
 to inform that he succeeded in raising
about £ 350 and manage to land on the
ground safely as well ! Hats off to Dr.Nambi for his
efforts.

Saloni
Shah, 8 years of age, from
 Dundee, has become the
youngest contributor to Idhayangal. She has contributed
£ 15 from her savings money for projects to help
disadvantaged children of her age group in India. We
thank Saloni for her contributions and wish her well
for the future.

Dr.Krishnan Swaminathan was
invited to the Rotary Club of Dundee to do a
presentation on Idhayangal's work in India, on 15th
Feb 2007. This presentation was well received and
has led to valuable new contacts to further our
causes. Idhayangal Trustees thank the Rotray Club of
Dundee for their invitation
